Each project we undertake is approached with an unwavering commitment to precision and meticulous attention to detail. This ensures that we not only meet but exceed customer expectations. Our work is aligned with the stringent technical requirements and guidelines set forth by respected bodies such as the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), the National Institute of Steel Detailing (NISD), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). By adhering to these standards, we guarantee that every project is executed to the highest levels of quality and safety.
Our highly qualified engineers deliver calculation packages that are clear and easily understood by both the Engineer of Record (EOR) and fabricators. Additionally, our engineering team assists in resolving complex field questions, often providing detailed calculations as part of the solution. We also supply set-up drawings that guide fabricators through typical job-specific connections, enabling them to review and modify the designs to best suit their shop standards and equipment. This ensures a seamless and efficient fabrication process, meeting the highest standards of quality and precision.
Our team of seasoned miscellaneous detailers employs the latest 3D technology to deliver exceptional detailing services. Executed with the highest standards of accuracy and compliance, delivering reliable and exceptional results to our clients.
we specialize in providing comprehensive estimating services for our clients. Our approach involves meticulously modeling the structural steel from the provided design drawings, allowing us to generate accurate material take-offs from the 3D model. If miscellaneous detailing is required, we can model these components separately and provide detailed breakdowns.
We are proficient in exporting various file types compatible with industry-standard software such as Fabsuite and Fabtrol. Our models can be exported in formats like KSS, XSR, and other necessary file types to ensure seamless integration with different platforms. Additionally, we can provide a 3D PDF file, which is an invaluable resource for our clients during the bidding process, enabling them to showcase the model to their prospective customers effectively.
Once a project is awarded to us, our QA/QC team begins working in tandem with the detailing team to ensure that all client-specific instructions are meticulously followed. This includes adhering to client standards, paint specifications, joist coordination, bolt types, the appropriate AISC edition, and the required design method (ASD/LRFD). We also follow job specifications and OSHA requirements. Despite the advances in 3D detailing, we maintain the practice of paper checking for projects to deliver unmatched quality to our customers.
Upon final checking, the QA/QC team ensures that all drawings comply with fabricator standards. No dimensions are missing, all piece marks are displayed on the erection drawings, and there are no missing field welds. Additionally, we check for erectability issues, ensure that frames are within permissible sizes for transportation, and confirm that galvanized members/frames can easily fit in the galvanizing tank. Proper vent holes, drain holes, and weep holes are also provided. Our department guarantees that no steps in our detailing procedure are overlooked, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
